Our over-600-year-old farm
Wiedmairhof in Uttenheim was first mentioned in documents in 1398. Hundreds of years later – in the year 1908 – our ancestor, Anton Aschbacher, bought it and give it as a dowry to his daughter, Maria Aschbacher Plankensteiner. At the start of the 1970s, the farm was bequeathed to our grandmother, Anna Plankensteiner. She had five children with Hermann Plankensteiner. The eldest son, Anton, was allowed to make decisions and have a say at an early age. In 1995, he took over Wiedmairhof. He had two sons with his wife, Rosa Forer: Roland and Daniel. To this day, father Anton and son Daniel have run the farm together. The farmland consists of a total of 12 ha. of pastures and 24 ha. of wooded area.
